Tournament Overview

The tournament is open to all SBC Summit Rio attendees, with the option to enter as a team (3-5 players, mixed gender allowed) or as an individual, who will be assigned to a team based on skill. Spots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Players must bring their own kit, bibs will be provided. Appropriate footwear is required, with blades and studs prohibited. Changing facilities and refreshments will be available for participants.  

On Day 1 (Wednesday), each team is guaranteed three group games, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the knockout rounds. Day 2 (Thursday) will feature the knockout rounds and final. The tournament schedule can be found here: SCHEDULE. Confirmation of participation will be sent two weeks before the event. Players must report to Tournament Control, located near the pitch, 15 minutes before their match. Teams unable to field players will forfeit, resulting in a 3-0 loss.

Rules Summary

The tournament features a 3v3 format with no goalkeepers, and rolling substitutions are allowed at any time. Group matches are 8 minutes long, while knockout matches are 10 minutes. Goals can only be scored from within the attacking half, and all kick-offs, kick-ins, and free kicks require opposition players to stay at least 2 meters back. Slide tackles are prohibited, and all free kicks are direct.   Participants can view results and standings on the pitch-side screen. Referee decisions are final, and all players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Individual players only need to fill in the Player 1 section and must complete the "Football Ability" field.
